Amanda, you were the best of teachers--strong willed, deeply committed to your students, generous, down-to-earth, and sincere. Your students knew that you truly believed in them. You will leave behind a legacy of committed deep-thinkers, but always with a sense of humour. We spent many an hour discussing the ins and outs of poetry scansion (for which you had a seemingly bottomless enthusiasm!), and we spoke at length about werewolves across the ages. You were a talented mentor and I will always think of you when facing new cohorts of bright-eyed, bushy-tailed students.
